In January 2019 a group of local volunteers was set up on behalf of the Parish Council, to bring together the whole community to write a Neighbourhood Plan. The plan is to cover the whole Deerhurst Parish.
When complete, the plan will represent our collective views on how we would like to sensitively develop the area for future generations, whilst protecting the buildings and landscape which are special to us.
Rapid progress was made in the first 18 months, but this somewhat stalled as a result of ‘national lockdowns’ due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2022 work has recommenced. The Steering Group are currently cross-referencing our draft policies against those of other local NDPs, and with Tewkesbury’s Borough Plan
It is anticipated that during June and July, out draft plan will be ready for consultation with the Parish at several local events. Please make sure that you take every opportunity to find out more and to share your ideas about what is important to you.
All of our meetings and minutes will be shared on this site, and on social media and Parish noticeboards. Please join us at any meeting – we promise that all offers will be appreciated – and all views are welcome.

Now that life is beginning to return to ‘a new normal’, it is intended that meetings will recommence from May 2022.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the Parish Questionnaire. The deadline is now closed.
